History


The town was first settled back in the colonial days and formally incorporated in March 1871. Mount Olive prospered throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries, attracting families and residents from New York City. After World War II, it transformed into one of New York City’s most acclaimed suburbs and today boasts an exceptional quality of life and convenient proximity to local amenities and attractions.
